Yummy Cheese

For the last couple months we have been following the prophets counsel to set a part the first Saturday of every month as family Saturday. We sit and pick an activity that is fun and try to do something that takes away from the hectic normal Saturday stuff. This Saturday we took a short trip to the Dairgold Cheese Factory in Sunnyside. It was a nice quick drive and fun to see all the animals on the way. The boys had a great time running up and down the tour hallway and standing on the ledge to look at the factory workers processing the cheese. George kept pulling on my sleeve and saying "Look, cheese, milk, cheese." It was great to spend some quality time together as a family.

After the quick tour, we went downstairs and looked at all the fun milk gifts and other gift shop items. We had some super yummy sandwiches and ice cream. Jack got chocolate and really enjoyed his cone. I love doing simple activities with the boys that involve us in the community and the world around us. Another wonderful revelation from our dear prophet.

We have always wanted to go to the Darigold factory...maybe we'll have to do that sometime soon, too.

How fun! Family Saturday? I guess I must have missed that. Was that from this past conference?

Tory took the kids on that tour and I laughed so hard when they came home to report on the trip ... I guess the tour is self guided and very fast. Cheese...Milk...Get some! :) I'm glad you had a fun family Saturday. Love the cow shot.
