Mothers in all shapes and sizes

"A mother’s nurturing love arouses in children, from their earliest days on earth, an awakening of the memories of love and goodness they experienced in their premortal existence. Because our mothers love us, we learn, or more accurately remember, that God also loves us." Elder M. Russell Ballard

Motherhood and Mothers can be defined in so many ways. In my life I feel I have three amazing mothers. Each one is unique and has played an important role in the shaping and molding of me.

"Mother Gallo" (Sherrie): My mother has been the best example of inner strength and of survival. She taught me to be kind, honest and loving. I was taught from a young age to apologize and use kind words to my siblings. She made sure that we knew that we were each special and important to her. She spent countless hours at sporting games, band concerts, dance recitals, PTA meetings, Primary Activities and numerous other events throughout my life. My mother blesses my life and my children's life each and every day. She is selfless and caring. I love you Mother.

"Mom" (Cathy): This dear woman came to be my mom when I needed her more then anything. My own mother was gone and attending to a family emergency and was unable to be with me at that time. Cathy took me in her arms and loved me just like I was one of her own children. She should me how to trust in the Savior and to use the power of the Atonement to get through my trials. She blessed me by teaching me of the beauty and blessing of the temple and by supporting me when no one else could. She is a beautiful, kind, funny and honest woman who shows love and concern for all people. Thank you for being this for me.

"Mother In Law" (Sue): Long before John and I ever got married I loved Sue. She was such a brillant and well versed woman. She had so much life experience and such a rich history. I enjoyed listening to her talk about her trials and her life. When I John and I married she instantly became a mom to me. She has been a listening ear and a good friend. I love her and am so grateful for her influence in my life. She understands me and my situation in such a unique way. God blessed me by letting me join her family. I feel like our souls new each other somehow and that I was meant to be guided by her. Sue you always make me laugh and I love you.

These woman have shown me the beauty of being a good mother. I have learned something special from each of them. There love has blessed me and allowed me to grow as a mother. Thank You All.
Happy Mothers Day!
